About Me

An Occupational Therapist with over 20 years experience

I am passionate about helping individuals achieve their goals, whether that is continuing to live at home or getting back to work.

I have worked in a range of clinical areas including oncology, neurology, orthopaedics, medical, community (rapid response and long term conditions) and accident and emergency. I have worked both in the NHS, privately (as an occupational therapist and as a case manager) and I have been self employed.

My Experience

I am a highly qualified OT with over 20 years experience

Supervisory experience

I have extensive experience managing others. I facilitated four interprofessional learning groups of students whilst working in an acute hospital setting. The students were from many disciplines and we tasked with making a difference in their healthcare environment. I have supervised eight occupational therapy students to date. The most recent students (2023) completing a Masters in Occupational Therapy at University of Brighton in a role emerging placement where I was a long arm supervisor. I have supervised occupational therapy staff and support staff within the NHS from Band’s 3-7 (assistant to advanced occupational therapists). I have mentored an occupational therapy technician from starting an occupational therapy degree (London South Bank University) to becoming a qualified practitioner from 2005-2009. I currently supervise team leaders and teams of staff providing support to my clients as a case manager. I also coordinate large multidisciplinary teams to ensure the needs of my clients are met. I have completed the OT coaching course.
